On a personal note we are currently selling our berth in Estepona on the Costa del Sol. The size of the berth is 25 metres x 6 metres and we are currently selling for 315,000 euros. Estepona is a beautiful little marina, just up the coast from it's more famous ( and expensive neighbour) Peurto Banus, so it's a great place to be based. Boat Leasing Finance - Italian & French Lease
Boat leasing finance is a relatively new and innovative way to finance your motor boat or yacht and save VAT at the same time. Yacht lease finance schemes have been available to European boat buyers for many years, but little used by those in the UK or elsewhere. Using this innovative way of paying for your boat, can save a considerable amount of VAT whilst providing complete flexibility in private or company ownership of the vessel. The Italian and French schemes differ slightly in their approach in that the Italian lease is based on boat size, so the larger your yacht the more VAT you save, whilst the French lease is based on yacht class. With Italian yacht leasing you can reduce the VAT to 6%, whilst with the French lease the minimum is 9.8%.
